So, I’m back, at least I hope! We’ve been keeping fairly occupied this Summer with lots of activity, and gearing up for a year of homeschooling. Some curriculum has been ordered, and some plans have been made. I’ve been trying to entertain a stir crazy boy that hasn’t been able to participate in the tradtional and well loved Summer activities, due to a buckle fracture and cast. The last two weeks have literally felt like months. It’s a sad inconvenience that the healing of his arm doesn’t require all his energy, that would make things golden. I suppose that is just the way that it works out sometimes. He’s a good trooper, and gets the cast off this week. To all you moms of boys, or adventurous girls, always listen to your intuition in these situations. When my son broke his arm, my own parents and husband were convinced that if my son’s arm was broken, he’d be responding much more strongly. The crazy part, is that I had a feeling, and I followed through on it, mostly because after having a second baby I think that sometimes my oldest gets put on the back burner. So off we went to the ER, and sure enough, swelling ensued, x-rays showed a buckle fracture. This is a common thing among young children, because their bones are soft. He was still able to move his arm, albeit painful of course. So my newfound knowledge is being shared with every mom that I know. Now that I’ve blogged it, I won’t feel such a need to spread the word! So thanks for reading and spreading this knowledge for me!

Oh, and the title of this post has dual purpose, the injury was acquired by JUMPING off a chair. So, now I’m going to do my own version of jumping, and try to jump back on my own bandwagon here. thanks for your patience!
